Acme Screw Machine Operator - Experienced & Trainee

​

We are seeking both experienced and trainee acme screw machine operators for 1st & 2nd shift positions at our facility in Machesney Park, IL. As part of our growing team, this role presents an excellent opportunity to develop skills alongside experienced machinists and advance within the company through dedication and initiative. 

​​

Responsibilities and Duties:

​

  • Operate Acme Gridley screw machines, loading steel bards and running parts to blueprint specifications. 

  • Perform setup, operation, and troubleshooting of Acme Gridley screw machines to ensure production standards are met. 

  • Maintain safety and quality standards while working independently under low supervision. 

Additional responsibilities may be required based on operational needs.

Qualifications:

​​

  • Prior experience with conventional Acme machines is preferred but not required - just a willingness to learn!

  • Familiarity with standard measuring equipment and blueprint reading.

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work under minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to stand for the duration of shift and repeatedly lift up to 30 lbs. daily.

  • Must be able to pass a background check, a physical, and a drug screen.

  • Must have reliable transportation.

Available Schedules:

​

  • 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:30 PM - 2:30 AM

Overtime may be available as needed

Operations & Assembly Team Lead

​

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Team Lead to join our team at our Machesney Park, IL facility. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their leadership skills while contributing to the daily operations of our wash, packaging, and assembly departments. You'll work closely with a small team, gaining experience in inventory management, machine setup, production scheduling, and quality control—all in a supportive environment that values safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities and Duties:

​

  • Lead, mentor, develop, and evaluate team members in the wash, packaging, and assembly areas of CQ+.

  • Document best practices and ensure training and adherence to best practices.

  • Verify set-up, operating condition, and quality of crimping machines, deburring equipment, and components produced in CQ+.

  • Managing parts inventory, including reporting of daily production, ordering of subcomponents for production needs, and preparing orders for weekly shipment.

  • Monitoring of incoming customer orders and creation of a production schedule to fulfill demand.

  • Set up of machines as required.

  • Assembly and packaging of parts as required.

  • Maintaining an orderly and safe work environment, defining and enforcing 5-S standards.

  • Measurement of parts and crimping dies to ensure compliance with the product and process.

  • Escalation of cell issues to site management and support as needed.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand for long periods.

  • Other duties within the site as needed and defined by the site manager.

  • Operation of forklifts, powered pallet jacks will be required for this position.
